I bought this to replace an old Cybersonic toothbrush (as seen on tv) that worked amazingly well for 6 years. When that broke, I bought a cheap (in quality) $20 electric toothbrush from CVS which broke within 2 months, the power button stopped functioning properly.
The Oral-B Professional Care SmartSeries 4000 Electric Toothbrush is great, especially since Amazon was having a sale and Oral-B had a 50% off rebate. I probably would not have bought it otherwise. The LCD screen is useful for selecting one of the 4 modes, although I only use the "regular" and "sensitive" modes. Some mornings I don't want my entire skull to vibrate so the sensitive mode comes in handy.
I don't like the included brush heads, one "floss action" and one "whitening". I bought a 3-pack of the "dual clean" heads (again, big sale on Amazon, regular price is way too much) and that works really well.
